Christmas came and went, so did New Years Eve. S and I were at my parents’ house for 1½ week, had Christmas with my grandmother and had a wonderful time.

 2013 now awaits, so does exams and my master thesis. A heartfelt happy New Year outthere :)

If possible I captured the essence of Christmas in a photo. Yesterday we had a “snow storm” in Denmark (a bit of wind and some snow) – the most picturesque weather we’ve had in a while. I spent a few hours wrapping Christmas gifts, going for a walk in the forest near by and finishing a knitting project. All in all a very lovely Sunday!

This friday I had one of the biggest experiences of my life. I was present when my best friend gave birth to her second son. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen, and she was nothing short of amazing, calm and inspiring. I’m still high on life, and on the perspective on life I got. Welcome, honey baby <3

Monday came with more snow! I’m working from home today, so luckily I can stay indoors for now and just enjoy the beautiful snow.

Finally it’s december. It’s closer to Christmas, holidays and I can finally see an end to a mad semester. For the first time in months I can feel a bit of ease in my body – which I’ve use for decorating, knitting and relaxing. It’s nice to have some space in my head for the new week, finally. Yesterday, after a looooong day, I met up with a friend downtown to go see TANK & ARTDISTRICT.dk’s pop-up art event in the art shop TANK. TANK is by far one of my favourite shops in Aarhus, and yesterdays event was just icing on the cake.

Today I’m home alone, enjoying my morning web routine with my coffee and the content of the goodiebag I got yesterday.

Just got home from a long day of lectures and group work, and stumbled across this cute little animation by the artist My Buemann. Enjoy it and think of the little things that make you happy.

Thankfully I have a day to work from home today, all this work seems to be getting the better of me. Today I’ll try and loosen it up with a bit of rye bread baking, laundry and horror-film-watching-breaks. It’s so very good when you love what you do.

Today it’s been cold, but nice. Bright, but dark. On the stove I’ve a chicken stock in the making, on my computer I have a journalistic essay and thesis research waiting, and a headache struggling to take over. With 3 major projects going on in November, December, January, there’s not enough hours in the day!
